Looking for SubPress Lettered::
Angel's Game and Prisoner of Heaven (Zafon)
Ilium (Simmons)
I ordered them all even though I've never read anything from this guy, they sound interesting.
As usual, my password was not accepted, and I had to order as a guest, even after REPEATED attempts to straighten this out. Sort of frustrating.
I'm sure if there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe, they are wise enough to stay away from us.

The Limited Edition is now sold out from Lividian and at least two retailers, but there may still be some copies on a couple of the other retailer sites:

Bad Moon Books still has copies.
"One day you're going to figure out that everything they taught you was a lie."
This is amazing news! I'm glad Lividian took over for Cemetery Dance. Ordered the S/L, trade edition, and the paperbacks bundle.
I'm holding out hope one day we'll get a proper limited edition of Speaks the Nightbird since River City Publishing's edition was very flawed. If I recall correctly I think Pocket Books has the rights with the first 2 books and that's why we haven't received reprints or a new limited of Speaks the Nightbird. The Queen of Bedlam hardcover trade edition was also flawed. Very cheaply put together. We need reprints badly! Hopefully that gets worked out.
It was hell's season, and the air smelled of burning children
If anyone still wants the S/L numbered. Dark Regions Press still has it at list price.

I also discovered McCammon late. Couldn't believe there was an author who had written so many great novels and I had never even heard of him. Basically like discovering there was another Stephen King out there and there were dozens of his books to be read. Swan Song, Boy's Life, The Five, They Thirst, Mine, Usher's Passing. And one of the great all time anthologies Blue World.

In terms of the Corbett series, I think there is often a mixed reaction to the first book "Speaks the Nightbird." It is long, and slower paced. Not for everyone. Some folks who come to McCammon and start with that book get turned off (even though it is a great book). The other books in the series are faster paced. And the historical ficton of the Corbett series is entirely different from McCammon's other books which might appeal more to King fans who want to give him a try.

They get better as the series goes along. River of Souls is one of my personal favorites, or Freedom From the Mask, or Mister Slaughter, or Cardinal Black....
I would suggest to someone new to him, Swan Song. It is what drew me in.

I LOVED Speaks the Nightbird! I place it in the top 3 of McCammon books I've read so far.

Same here! It's right up there with Boy's Life and Swan Song for me. It's funny how different readers will get a different impression from the same book. I didn't find it slow-paced at all, quite the opposite in fact. I love all of the books in the Matthew Corbett series, but I'd have to say that Speaks the Nightbird remains my favorite.
Is it just me, or does the "whale" art piece look like a penis?
