Only trying to be helpful here - I just took a look, and it doesn't say in the listing who it is signed by at all, so the assumption based on the written description, is that it is signed by Stephen King. If I were you Kris, I would add Steven Stroud's name in the description and which book is signed.
Wanted: Human skin edition of The Book of the Dead. Will accept PC copy.
If I was searching for items signed by Stephen King, and a listing showed up with “signed Stephen King” in the title, and no explicit description or photo to show otherwise, I’d reasonably infer that the item was signed by SK. I think the wording in the title is deceptive.
I think it’s up to the seller to be clear about the item listed. You can’t assume that anyone seeing a DRE listing for thousands of dollars will automatically know that most copies were not signed - Particularly when the title implies otherwise.

Come on guys give me a break. There’sNo picture of Stephen kings autograph. It’s a minimum $5000 item, so you really Don’t think someone would ask? I mean come on you wouldn’t ask could I see the signature please? Sorry I just don’t agree. In fact I’m not going to change it as this is done very often on eBay. There has to be some onus on the buyer not to be stupid with Their purchase. This is not an uncommon practice and I do not believe it it is deceptive at all. Not to mention, I offer full returns and it is said in the ad that I do. So the buyer has literally nothing to worry about. Oh yeah there is that thing called PayPal protection to.

It's your listing Kris, so you can do as you wish, but I also agree with the previous posters.
A more accurate posting could be:
Dragon Rebound Double Lettered Set. Stephen King-With RIGHTS-Signed Stroud Art
Kris, the fact that a buyer would need to ask, in order to get the correct information about the signature, is what makes the listing deceptive. They would be asking with the expectation that it was signed.

I am sorry, but I personnally disagree.
I dont really see why anybody selling something at that price wouldnt want to be be as precise as possible.
Wouldnt it be creating some issues, if someone was to buy it. Recieve it. Is not happy. Open a complain to paypal. Has to be refunded and send the book back?
Wouldnt it be easier and save everybody some time and money to specifically say that it is not signed by Stephen King? What do you have to lose by not being very specific?
It may be me, but I agree that the auction is misleading and I dont see the logic behind that

I just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU to a fellow forum member. Some of you may have seen my post in the kudos thread but I wanted to share what this gentleman did in this thread. A few posts back I (half) jokingly asked if anyone might want to sell theirs knowing full well that it was unlikely. I didn't care about a letter or rights. He contacted me a few weeks back asking if I would be interested in an RC. I told him I absolutely was! He quoted me a fair price but with Christmas around the corner and other things going on I had to reluctantly ask if he would be willing to hold it until May when I could complete full payment. I didn't think he would because that's a long time to ask someone to hold for when they could probably get immediate payment from someone else but I'd never know unless I asked. Fully prepared for a no answer he writes back and tells me no problem. I was ecstatic and extremely grateful. BUT WAIT! There's more The other day the book shows up on my doorstep, right before Christmas with a very nice note stating that he wanted me to have this to enjoy in the meantime. I was floored. I'm still paying him for the book but the fact that he's letting me have it 5 months before it's even paid for? I couldn't believe it.
And what a beauty it is. I am so happy to own one of these as Cujo is in my permanent King Top 5, one of my personal favorites. This is one hell of a production from beginning to end!
That is fantastic!! What an absolutely wonderful gesture! Congrats and kudos and thanks for sharing.

I thought I'd revive this thread after Paul's comments on his FB page.
So it seems DR book #6 is in the works and an announcement is imminent! Now, most of you know I have a good insight to the upcoming Suntup Press books and I keep that info close to my chest, but that other "DR guy" tells me NOTHING! So i'm in the dark as much as the rest of you.
So what do we think? What's the next book likely to be?
My guess:Spoiler:
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
All of the first editions have been purchased.
"One day you're going to figure out that everything they taught you was a lie."
It’s got to be Pet Sematary, a perfect complement to Cujo. And first editions being relatively cheap when the dust jacket doesn’t matter.
