    I just happen to rewatch The Truman Show on Netflix a few days ago. Honestly, looking back on it many aspects are kinda prophetic. The implantation of marketing/adveristing in that world is pure genius. Its so multi layered.

    What's with The Green Mile hate? It's at least the second best film here and should move on out of this group. The Truman Show is decent (better than the Ace Ventura movies some of y'all like so much) but I dont get the love for Leon: The Professional. The relationship between a middle-aged assassin and a little girl kind of creeps me out (and yes I know it is not sexual but there is still some weird vibes there.)

    The Green Mils is a good movie. It's far from great and continues to get a ton of support in the tournament for obvious reasons. Most people are voting with King colored glasses.

    For me, Truman Show, Lion King and Leon are both far superior films.

    I don't know, I think if this was on another site, The Green Mile would still get a lot of love. I always thought it was considered one of the best King adaptations made. Not as good as Shawshank, but almost there. I guarantee plenty of people that don't read King enjoyed that movie.

    I hated Truman Show, but then again I can't stand Jim Carey's acting. It's been ages since I saw the movie, so I only vaguely remember it, but I remember feeling like he was being too comedic in it, when it would have been much more effective if he played it seriously. And you guys know I wasn't a fan of Leon either. Not sure why it gets all the love it does, but to each their own. I know I'm in the minority on that one.

    For me Leon was the first time seeing Natalie Portman and she was amazing in that, and at such an early age handling some pretty intense scenes. I just fell in love with her in that movie and the scene where her family gets executed still gets me every time.
