In light of our conversation this week, I picked up Cronenberg's Dead Ringers on laserdisc. Any good?

It's not bad if you have a laser disc player.

Indeed I do! It's an older model, but it works very well. Knock on wood.

It's mid tier Cronenberg, but it's still pretty good. Jeremy Irons gives a great double performance as his own twin. The imagery as you would imagine is pretty unsettling.

As much as I like Austin Powers, and thought the sequel should also have been at least nominated, I'm quite shocked to see it leading this group.

It's mid tier Cronenberg, but it's still pretty good. Jeremy Irons gives a great double performance as his own twin. The imagery as you would imagine is pretty unsettling.

I didn't realize how much of a fan of Irons I was until recently. Trying to go back in pick up his older stuff.
