There are lots of way way better movies than the LOTR trilogy released that decade. I can see Fellowship going into the playoffs and maybe making some noise but the other two? And this is coming from someone who's a huge fan of the trilogy. Saw Fellowship in theaters three times, saw the other two twice each. Own both the theatrical and extended editions.

I love the first list. I can tell you right now 25th Hour is one of my favorite films of the decade. It's a masterpiece. Also, Zack and Miri Make A Porno is criminally underrated. I'm just pointing out that I'm very self-aware that my taste in movies is much lower than many others here and I'll likely be nominating a bunch of movies that I enjoy and make me laugh but don't typically show up on too many of the "best of" lists.
