I think people took you seriously.
I know this movie gets a lot of flack for the shitty kid, the overtly political story-line and the character who shall not be named but come on people. This is the movie that introduced THE coolest looking SW villain ever. Even if he didn't survive to the credits. Also by far the coolest light saber in the universe up to that point.
