Maybe someone here can shed some light on this.

in the last few months....when I search STEPHEN KING SIGNED on ebay......I get items that are not signed in addition to those that are.

As an exmple, THIS auction comes up fourth on the list, and THIS auction comes up eleventh on the list when I do a search right now (and sort by NEWLY LISTED).

In both auctions, the book is not signed...and I cannot see the word SIGNED anywhere in the auction titles or descriptions.

I have the same issue if I am using a Mac or a PC

    Anyone know what's going on?

And FYI...I am NOT checking the INCLUDE DESCRIPTION BOX....so it should only be pulling up auctions that have the those three words in the title.

I was just thinking about this yesterday. I am having the same issue. At first, I thought perhaps they were listing it in the wrong category or checking an incorrect box while listing, but that doesn't appear to be the case. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I've been getting the same results so it's not just you.

    Thanks......

My assumption is that it is ebay giving me things to look at that they think I might be interested in.....even though I did not ask for them

    A little cross promotion.

Problem is....what I am looking for is now getting buried in a sea of other items, and instead of increasing sales....I think they are losing sales.

Same with me... I think that's because the seller is only selling on eBay UK, and not selling to the U.S.

When I look at the 3 links you provided, they are all listed as sold, so it seems to make sense to me, unless you know of other items he is selling other then those.

They were not sold when I looked at them....all auctions had over an hour to go.

Click on any link above....then click on SELLERS OTHER ITEMS...the check the box that says SOLD LISTINGS or COMPLETED LISTINGS....nothing shows up.

Perhaps Bryan is right in that they are UK ONLY auctions.

Seems like virtually all listings that show up in a "signed" search that are not signed are auctions by top rated sellers.

Anyone ever had an issue trying to return something? I opened a case and is it went in my favor. Now when I go to the case and click Print return label I just get an error message saying "Sorry we're not able to process the label at this time, please try again later." I have tried printing it a few times a day over the last 4 days and still nothing. I have contacted them and all they say is try again later. I have tried normal window, incognito window, allowing popups, allowing flash and nothing works.

Basically if I want to return it they want me to buy my own shipping and they will not reimburse me for it because they have technical difficulties.

I just won a case. I printed the return label from the Resolution Center link without a problem.

Thanks maybe I'll try IE. If it doesn't work any where else it will usually work on IE but it's also true vice versa

EDIT: no-go. from what I have read once the system flags a shipping label wrong it is broken from then on. You would have to get them to generate a new label completely which they wont do.

I've had success when I call them. They don't make it easy to do anything online.

It took almost 3 weeks, but ebay refunded my purchase and shipping price for a German Duddits that was shipped in a piece of paper and thus was damaged. Since it's international, they didn't even want it returned.

I would like to clear up some misconception regarding Paypal fees since between members, we do quite a bit of sending and receiving. Paypal fees are NOT 4%, but only 2.9% for domestic transactions (plus 30 cents per transaction). However fees are 4.4% if receiving from an international sender. Here is the information from Paypal website:

180 days. Ebay presales must be honored within 30 days, so you should be fine.

I dont often sells on ebay anymore, but today I was surprised that on a product that I sold for 9.99€, they took a commission of 3.20€
I''ve just realised that they take into account the cost of SHIPPING in the commission.

The book was sold to a member here, and so ebay considered the total cost of 39.99€ to calculte the commission, therefore the commission was 8% of the price+shipping.

Apparently it's like this since 2014, but still annoying! Need to take into account that when setting up a delivery price !
