Like him too. Peter Berg directed him in two good movies. If you have not seen The Kingdom and Hancock (or not in a while) check them out. Good stuff.

I couldn't agree more. The trailers not only look freaking awesome, but also fairly faithful to the book from what you can gather. New Sunday "MUST SEE TV" for me!!!! lol

Edit: Plus, Jason Bateman is a favorite actor. I wonder why they didn't cast the, Holly from Mr. Mercede's? Other commitments? That would have been a score IMHO

Bateman also directed at least the first two episodes. I've seen the first one already and it is every bit as good as it looks. It's a bit jarring to watch Ben Mendelsohn in the behind-the-scenes video talking with an Australian accent, because he does a great American accent.

Fun fact -- Bateman's character, Terry Maitland, watches the Netflix series Ozark in the novel.

I didn't care so much for the book, but the series looks like it might improve on it personally for me. I'll know within a few episodes.

I had never even heard of him until I watched Bloodline on Netflix. Now it seems like he's everywhere. Captain Marvel, Rouge One, Ready Player One, Far From Home and now The Outsider...

So, they're doing it as a sort of Mini-series then. They're not going to try and fuck around with it like "Mr. Mercede's" (even though they did pretty well with MM) and extend it to multiple seasons?

MM made sense to extend out since there were multiple books. Each season followed one of the books (even though they did 2 and 3 out of order).
