Hey there supercollectors!
Does anyone happen to have a copy of the Dolores Claiborne publisher's letter? If you could relay what it says, I'll be so grateful!

My proof is tightly wrapped in an archival bag, but I don't think it has a publisher's letter. I'm sure someone here will have the contents for you, but if not I'll pull all the tape off the bag and take a look.

I have one of these. I will scan it and upload as soon as I can.
Am interested too, as apparently I only have a part of it?
Seems cut after "very"
thanks Paul

Actually, it seems that the catalog is, as always, our friend

This is the one I was thinking of. It's the pub letter that was sent with an early review copy of the book. There's a scan of the ARC letter at zelig.io.
And just noticed the pub date was my birthday...
Thanks! We're trying to track down the source of the claim that DC and GG were originally intended as a single book called IN THE PATH OF THE ECLIPSE. That "fact" is quoted in numerous places, but we can't figure out where it came from. We thought maybe in one of these letters, and the letter above DOES say "in the path of the total eclipse," but nowhere can we find any direct mention by King or publisher of that putative book. There's an interview from 2008 where King mentions an idea for a third book where Dolores and Jessie meet, but he doesn't say anything about the original double-book.

Our Release Dates List http://www.thedarktower.org/palaver/...ase-Dates-List has Dolores Claiborne as simply "November" while this documentation shows dates as "on sale" November 16 but "publication date" of December 7. Should we update to 11/16 or 12/7?
I bought my copy of DOLORES CLAIBORNE on November 14, 1991 at the Fireside Book Shop. I still have the receipt.

Street dates 25+ years ago are so difficult to ascertain.
