    A question about sig-counting etiquette:

If you have two copies of the same signed edition, do you count it twice?

My understanding is Yes. You also count bookplates and artwork or original letter or scrap of paper. The question is how many SK sigs, with no discernment regarding medium. If I’m wrong, Please correct me.

I must have at least 80, conservatively, based on a quick rough count a few years ago. I’m pretty sure I posted in the old thread somewhere along the line, but it never made the list. I don’t know know my exact number.

You're most welcome, Michaël. I'm usually here each morning (unless I'm at work) checking in so it's pretty simple for me to add any updates at that time.

Best of luck to you in your studies and future as a medical professional! Hope you continue to haunt the old place from time to time

My best new guess is 41, although it is probably a few more. I can't remember which trade books I have signed without looking at them all, and I never kept records.
I'm sure if there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe, they are wise enough to stay away from us.

"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King

Glad that's cleared up, I have one book signed twice (Six Stories), wasn't sure if should count it as 1 or 2, but sounds like 2.
    Wanted:

'Salem's Lot Portfolio #606. (could just trade limitation sheets).

Aside from the quantity I could have written this post. Despite all good intentions, I don’t keep records either.

I guess technically I have 31, but I just think of that book as a potential trade for another signed book for my collection, not MY book. Does that make sense?! And I can't count the S/L until they are in my hot little hands!

I just left yours at 30 then, Dez. I agree about not counting til they arrive but I did add the ones that posted inbounds.

Thanks to some recent purchases from JonP and David, and a few other ebay purchases, I am upto 41 now (42 in a day or two). Plus several more on preorder, but I won't count those until they are here.
    Wanted:
