Honestly Sanderson is my favorite author. I have yet to read any novel by him and rate it lower than a 4 out of 5. I have read most of his Cosmere books, only three left and I am caught up.

For a good entry into Sanderson you can start in 1 of 3 places.
Elantris: easy fun read. Only one book to see how you like his style.
Mistborn: 3 books to jump right in with. Great story and really feels like you are reading one long book.
Stormlight Archive(3 books so far): these are epic fantasy but holy shit is the world building good. so far he has 3 novels out but he plans on it being 10+.

I actually like the way Jackson writes but I thought the way the characters acted and reacted to each other was odd.

It was excellent, but a difficult read for me. I found myself having to read some parts a few times to fully grasp the meaning. That’s very likely my own inexperience at play, though. Yet, it’s also difficult because it can really hit home in terms of the many ways you’ve failed yourself. And you don’t have to be a Christian or even a very spiritual person to get it. I highly recommend it and I’ll certainly be reading it again because there’s just no way I understood everything.

One of my favorites. I’d never wanted a cup of “white coffee” more in my life after reading this book.
