BTW - Firestarter prices have doubled in the last 6 months. I've been looking for a decently priced book for ages.

Wow 11K to 17K for the original. Crazy.

Yeah 1K for a print, even S/L, is too much. I am going to hold out until I can get my hands on one around the 500 mark.

The original would be neat to just see. I have two young boys in the house, that pretty much eliminates original artwork for me. They keep there paws off the books, but art work is so tempting. Although I was somewhat surprised when I hung my Whelan DT prints. My oldest (13) is really intrigued by it. Even my four year old comes into my office to just look at those. Fascinating really.

I told the 13 y/o he's not ready for DT yet, but is ready for EOTD. So that is on his summer reading list.

No was bought by a member here but did not change hands for that much more my man. I am privy to the deal and it was to another member and was for a very very small modest increase.

$100 for dust jacket is reasonable. I don't know what the S/L prints have sold for recently, if at all - there are only 200, but keep in mind it is also double matted and framed, which is $250 or so.

I remember being around that age 11 or 12 as well. My sister had me read It, talk about a whopper of nightmares. That and one of my older brothers always wanted me to watch Horror movies with him. I'm pretty sure I saw Exorcist at 10 or 11. Surprised I don't have a few hinges loose. :-p

Funny! - The strangest thing is when I saw that Brian861 wrote 'read' my mind for some reason shot to two places 'Dial-up' and him just getting pissed at the lack of a good connection (and probably material) and god know's why, but I swear he was mistaking the Fabio cozy romances for porn. Bwhahaha. Fabio.... bwhahahahaha 'I can't believe it's not Butter'!

Bwhahaha. Fabio.... bwhahahahaha 'I can't believe it's not Butter'!
