This is going so s-l-o-w.
Eight hours since my last nomination!

Honestly, I call for a stop to all nominations until we get some seconds and thirds here. We need to get some scenes officially in before we get buried under nominations. We have to take control of this thread. We've been abandoned. I can only hope all is well with Matt and his family.

Okay, I'm going to take control of this situation.
In order to save this tournament before it turns into an epic clusterfuck, I will act as "Caretaker" until Mattrick returns.
As an immediate remedy to the amount of confusion and frustration the nomination/seconding process is causing, I'm implementing the following rule changes with immediate effect:
1. The process of having to "third" movie scenes is scrapped. If a movie has been "seconded", then it's in!
2. The limit on the number of "seconds" participants can make is increased to 30.
3. The wait time between "seconding" a movie is now set at zero - there is no wait time. Only the limit of 30, so use them wisely.
4. The limit on the number of movie scenes participants can nomimate, is now increased to 25.
This should alleviate a lot of the frustration. When I finish work later this evening (UK time), I will compile a list of movie scenes that have been nominated and those that have already been seconded, for ease of use.
I hope this helps!
This thread is becoming pretty chaotic. So just to clarify for people since there seems to be a lot of confusion, just wait 5 nomination/second posts and either nominate a scene or second one. And yes you can second a scene that's already seconded, that will ensure it gets in. It just needs two seconds to qualify. And the slow pace is fine. No need to rush things. Hopefully Matt will be back soon and can update the list of what's in for us.

Now I'm not sure: In order to post a new nomination,
*do I wait till five other nominations have been placed
*do I wait till five nominations and/or "seconded" have been placed?
sk
Just to be clear, the wait time of 5 movie scenes in between each nomination, remains the same.
Seconding has no bearing on the wait time for nominating movie scenes.
There is no wait time for seconding and this can be done at any time. Just keep a running tally and use the limit of 30 wisely.
I still think we should keep the nominations at 15 per person for now and let more members get their nominations seen. It can always be increased later on if need be.
