If anyone knows of a way to limit the number of emails that end up in a spam folder, I’m all ears. There are certain ‘tricks’ we have used, but there has not been a silver bullet solution. A good percentage of the emails we send are not even opened. And our average is actually way better than the industry average. It might just be something that has no definitive solution. Which brings me back to my long standing opinion that email is one of the least effective ways to engage an audience.

I can put a "tracker" on individual emails that tracks how many times its been opened and let's me know when it is, regardless of the end-user settings.

I do the same. I have all me email system set to not send read receipts so even though I open every one you probably miss that metric. Wouldn't surprise me if 10% of your population have that set

After a shipment, it is normal for some extra copies to remain. The editor often reserves some copies, although there are always exceptions. But the limitation does not extend.
