Not novel length. Definitely a novella.

I've read it--it's nowhere near as long as CK.

Colorado Kid was 35,000 words. Gwendy's Button Box is about 2/3 as long.

For the Bram Stoker or SFWA Nebula Awards, to be considered a novel it has to be longer than 40,000 words. The Edgars are more embracing: they call anything over 22,000 words a novel.

I hope they add cookie jar to the audio like they did with Dune and Blockade Billy.
Hopefully there's a release date for that soon.

    It's about yea big.
    Hey. You. Yes, you.

Have you read Shadowland by Peter Straub?

You've already read him in The Talisman and Black House - there's no excuse for not going further!

If you haven't read Shadowland - just do it.

    Do it.

I don't have a page count -- I didn't see a finished book, just the manuscript. And RF is close, within a few percent one way or the other. There may have been some changes after I read it.

BV: does “Gwendy” tie in to the newly announced Castle Rock series on Hulu?
SK: I went back to Castle Rock with this one before JJ [Abrams] sold the series to Hulu, so that didn’t play a part.

His segment is near the end. Also, if you follow Rich on Twitter and retweet the relevant tweet, you might win an ARC of Gwendy next week.
