I really liked the first half of the book but it started falling apart for me near the end. I don't want to give anything away but I feel like what should have been an epic conclusion, turned into a confusing mess and left me asking "what actually just happened?" Maybe Deady was leaving an opening for a sequel or something?

It might also be the fact that it took him 20 years to finish.

I rated it 3 stars on Goodreads.

Oh wow. I didn't know he worked on it for that long. Now you have me curious about the end. I'll let you know what I think when I finish it. Tom is actually a local author, and him and his wife go to the Stephen King book club that I belong to. He's a great guy. I also just started Eternal Darkness on my kindle. Have you read that one yet? Seems like it'll be a quick read.

Yes, let me know what you think. I did like the book, I was just not very satisfied with the ending, and maybe the long years it took to finish contributed to it. And it's not that the ending is a bad one, it's just the way it was written, I think.

I haven't read Eternal Darkness. I think I might have that one too? I just received My Absolute Darling and started it last night. It has gotten stellar reviews from King as well as others.
