Default Great Music - Finals: 1960-1964 (Final 4 of 14)

For this playoffs poll, please choose one track to move on to the Tournament Finals as the representative of this time period in music.

IMPORTANT! Please do not simply vote on name recognition (or lack thereof) alone. Please do listen to each nomination and then make your choice. Even if you think you know a track well, it's still worth giving it a listen for a refresher.

The poll will run for twelve days. Discussion is greatly encouraged!

The nominees are (please let me know if any video doesn't play for you):

Ben E. King - Stand By Me (1961)

Simon and Garfunkel - The Sound of Silence (1964)

They cheated their way to a couple of League Championships & a World Series!!!!

    Yes!!!!!!!!!

I love that movie. Tried (and failed) to get into Ted 2 as an extra (filming went on near where I work for a while). Saw Ted 2 in the theater; it was the first time I was self conscious about laughing in public, thinking others might think I was a maniac.

Damn, this was a tough choice. I really do love both and hate to vote against either one. But finally decided on The Sound of Silence.

I mean... doesn't this foreshadow TSoS winning the whole thing? would be unexpected, but rather nice
