Lost "After the Play" epilogue of The Shining discovered!
Some are already aware of what recently transpired but I thought this was a very notable event deserving of its own thread. One of our members acquired an early manuscript of The Shining and posted some photos of it a week ago or so over in Calvin's Corner: http://www.thedarktower.org/palaver/...=1#post1002634
Lo and behold, it wasn't just any manuscript, it also contained the "After" section of the novel long believed to have been lost:
And what's more, this never before seen epilogue will be added to the forthcoming new edition of The Shining by Cemetery Dance: http://www.thedarktower.org/palaver/...=1#post1003139
We as King fans know some of these constants from the King lore, such as Carrie being rescued from the trash as a short story, and now one of these stories, that The Shining once had an epilogue which is now lost, is no longer true. It's been found.
