Nice signature! Well done!
What would be the rough value of a 1st US edition of THE STAND with T39, in Very Fine condition?
Skcollectors says $250 - $350

I am guessing an IT real first ed is still around $50.00. Mine looks brand new or FINE shape

I'd probably agree with this, although I would need to look at Alex's copy again as it's as near to perfection as I've ever seen. My own copy is pretty damn good as the DJ is flawless. The main problem with this book is the weight of the page block and the subsequent pull it has on the spine binding. Any book that has stood upright on a shelf for even a short while will have loosened the connection between the page block and the boards, allowing the block to 'twist' a little.
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
Well, I will try and take pics from all angles and then people can say what they think.
I checked my Stand and it is probably not in "fine" condition. There is a lot of spine separation. So I would assume that it would lower the value quite a bit. I posted some pics of my IT in my thread. I guess I can post them here as well if people are interested.
How much value does a signed King bookplate add to a 1st edition book? I know the final figure will depend on the book itself but what I want to know is if the bookplate is worth anything near as much as a flatsigned signature?
Official bookplate S/L... much more than flatsigned....
but if not then flatsigned be more for sure.

Appreciate the info, guys! Thank you.
If you are saying an bookplate S/L is worth more than a flight signed 1st.....I would say....it depends.
I do not believe that a US "Official Bookplate Desperation" is worth more than a flatsigned 1st edition
I would say the same thing about the UK Bag of Bones.
Regarding the UK Wizard & Glass and UK Desperation/Regulators set....I would say the Bookplate S/Ls would be worth more than flatsigned 1sts.

Agreed to a point. I would say a flat signed Desperation is not worth more than the one with the bookplate. Bag of Bones.. yes. I have never seen the Desperation for sale and would have gladly paid more for one... and I did to get one. I was speaking general rule of thumb. Unless on a S/L I would hold less value on a bookplate stuck into a book rather than flatsigned/inscribed.
