I recently bought a numbered version for $300 unframed.
Here's one on ABE for $375. http://www.abebooks.com/Letters-SIGN...e/880947091/bd

"One day you're going to figure out that everything they taught you was a lie."
The ABE listing is also a PC copy.
Cheers thank you. That auction I posted is around $600usd equivalent so I was just checking if it was a deal or not. Looks not.
They were selling fairly steady at $250 for a while. They've been moving up steadily and so I bought a fine copy for $300. Framed and matted would add value, perhaps $200.
So even with the frame and matting $600 USD would be on the high side. Of course there would be more affordable shipping.
Get the seller's info and when the auction goes nowhere offer them less.

Is it the Knowing Darkness numbered traycased edition? Or I think there is a slipcased version?
Which is the "Deluxe"? TC version I take it? Is this only version with Whelan art? Where would art be? I can't remember if I ever checked....curiouser and curiouser...
Edit: nevermind...found it: http://www.centipedepress.com/art/skart.html
There were three distinct states of the book.
1. A slipcased version.
2. A deluxe traycased version of 300 numbered copies signed by many of the artists. Some of these (maybe 10 or so?) had full page drawings by Michael Whelan laid in.
3. A super-deluxe traycased version of Roman numeral copies bound in leather and accompanied by a portfolio of 20 large prints most of which were signed by the artists. Not sure the final number of these, probably 10 or so. This one is incredibly big.
#2 maybe 10 or so drawings....I don't have an accurate count, but I think this is low. I was at Michael's house once and he showed me at least 10 drawings he had done and said these were a "sampling" of the work....I was most impressed with a Barlow drawing in a coffin that he did....was spooky. I'm guessing the truer number may be closer to 25.
Dragline : Nothin'. A handful of nothin'. You stupid mullet head. He beat you with nothin'. Just like today when he kept comin' back at me - with nothin'.
Luke : Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.

Great info! Thanks, everyone! I don't remember what number I have and I need to go see if I have art in there.
Oh you would know....
