Not really sure. The detailed description does say it's a first edition, first printing though.

I paid $60 awhile back and had zero problems paying that. I know that they routinely sell for less because there was a bunch of them BUT really really nice ones are rarer and rarer these days. I agree that we will see an increase in the value of them. Not sure if one would fetch over $100 now but I do expect those prices at some point. I had an equally hard time finding a nice Eyes of the Dragon.

I think the listing of THUS is a mistake. They list Viking 1984. VJ Books is a trustworthy company and I don't believe they would knowingly mislead a customer. I've always had great service from them.

I've bought a lot from VJ and they are an excellent company, great quality books and customer service, but I've had two occasions where there were mistakes in the listing: I received two novels that were described as 1st impressions but were actually 2nd. VJ were excellent about it though, gave me a full refund and let me keep the books. Innocent mistake, but I'd email them and have them check the book first - They've always been very accommodating.

VJ Books and I are simply not meant to do business. I tried buying five books today but there seems to be a glitch in their checkout via Amazon option. My card has a US address, my American Amazon account is obviously tied to a US address, and I have a US street address. I still kept getting a quote for $80 dollars for five books. Whatever.

Funny - I had a problem trying to checkout via the Amazon option as well. Kept telling me I had to enter a valid shipping address, so I finally just gave up.

    What is the Amazon option?

I'm offered PayPal, Credit card, check, but no Amazon option.

    Hi guys,
Can someone help me with the value of the 4 U.K. first edition Bachman paperbacks (as a set it or individually? I assume the bulk of the value lies in Rage?)
    Cheers

And condition will also have a lot to do with the value. Well-read copies with creases on the spine will not bring nearly as much as pristine, unread copies. What condition are yours in?

"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King

OK, try this: log out, add a book to the cart and then try checking out without an account. You should see an option to check out through your Amazon account. I wanted to use Amazon for added protection. Last time I received no refund, replacement or apology after receiving a damaged book.
