I have a complete set of Castle Rock Newsletters too. How should I "bag" them? I have them all together in a plastic bag, but I don't think that's probably the best way. Your thoughts?

I have each issue in a separate plastic folder (don't know the English word for these):

And I store them in an 'ordner' (do you use this word too?):

The only problem is that most of the Newsletters are just slightly too big for the folders...

I have them all individually bagged with the same kind of bag that is used for comic books.

I got my copy with a priceclipped but otherwise fine DJ for around £100. It seems as if copies with a priced DJ are quite scarce and these will probably be more expensive (maybe £200?). But I haven't seen enough of these to come up with a good estimate.

I got mine for about $150 a couple years ago and the book and jacket were in very good or better condition, I have seen them listed for as high as $450, but not selling and there is one on ebay right now for $310 but no bids. So it seems people are all over the board on that book.

I paid almost $100 all so far.

Get the "side opening" ones instead of the "top opening" ones. The newspapers fit better.

I have a complete set, acquired mostly from subscription way back when, supplemented by a few individual issues that I needed to complete the set. I remember grabbing a few single issues from Stu @ Betts many years ago. It's rare that I see a full run up for sale, even on eBay.

UTD - the last few went for about 110-120 GBP which is what i paid for mine.
FDNS - not sure but the longer you wait to sell after the book has been released the value seems to drop way down.
SOS- theres one on ebay for weeks now-about $100 and no one is buying it.

How much would this copy, of Cycle of the Werewolf, be worth? Sunfaded on spine and bend.

Not much, I think. How much is the seller asking? I paid $120 for my copy which is in superb shape and even has a slipcase (I know I was very lucky to get it that cheap). I would say that a very nice copy costs around $150-175. The one in the picture? I would say no more than $25-30 (but I don't think many people would buy it).

It's so unfortunate that this dust jacket is so susceptible to sunfading and spotting...

The seller has an asking-price of $49.99. I almost bought it in the blind, but fortunately asked for some photos.

To be honest, I wouldn't go for it. This book is listed quite often and there are many copies that are in not-so-great condition but still look better than this one. If you are patient you will find one for a decent price.

    Low side, $1000-1500

For some collectors, the personalization drops value. For some it adds value. A funny business we are all in.
