    What about this DT set
Drawing of the Three(S\L 1 of 40 Authors copy. Also inscribed) I'll go $1900 (but if some one thinks it higher, I won't complain )on this since there is no consensuses and it signed twice.
For the rest I will split the difference from the collector.com
    The Waste Lands S\L(957) $700
The Wizard and Glass S\L(957) $1,000
Wolves of the Calla S\L(957) $550
Song of Susannah S\L(957) VI $700
    The Dark Tower S\L(957) $600
The Little Sisters S\L(957) VIII $600
Wind through the key hole Art ed IX $75
Wizard and Glass First Ed $125
The Dark Tower Art ed $70
With those prices it comes to $6125. Does that seem fair?
P.S so that separate, and what about with a first ed Gunslinger. All in extremely good, some never read condition.
any idea on a value if sold as a set with and without the 1st GS?
    Thanks
    I appreciate all the input.

First, I want to emphasize that I am NOT interested in selling this.

I have a copy of the F&G (folded and gathered) of the Grant Gunslinger. This is the earliest known version of the book. It has been stated that a total run of 10-12 copies were done, but mine is probably the only copy in collector's hands.

For a picture, see post #472 in my collections thread.

The recent sale of the orange Plume proof makes me wonder about the value of the F&G.

    John

I figured out how to post a picture from the Gallery. Sorry about the size.

I had a nice conversation a few years ago with the gentleman who worked on the layout of this book, Bob Booth. The technology in those days involved waxed strips and razor blades! Alas, Bob is no longer with us.

OK, the million dollars goes back in the vault. Maybe next time.

On a less serious note: What orange Plume proof are you referring to? Was the price high or low?

The Shining (SubPress) 500 - 750 depending on how much rubbing to boards/color transfer to traycase
Firestarter - 900 - 1200 depending on what date it was signed. The earlier date the more valuable, i think.
DT I - 4500 - 5500, could go higher on any given day
    Christine - 700 - 850
    Skeleton Crew 600 - 700
    Cycle of the Werewolf (above 100) - 800 - 950
IT (with Matching Portfolio) - varies widely, has gone crazy high, but probably not anymore. 2500 - 3000 is probably realistic at the moment.
EOTD (Red Lettered 250/250 - SK's Personal copy - not inscribed to anyone) - (not sure about this one, without the SK connection probably 1250 - 1500)
    DT II - 800 - 950
Dolan's Cadillac - Deluxe (not sure about Dolan's)
    Dolan's Cadillac - S/L
    Dolan's Cadillac - S/L Presentation copy
    DT III - 500 - 700
    Insomnia - 350 - 450
    The Green Mile - 1400 - 1500
    Desperation - 300 - 400
    The Regulators - 900 - 1100
    DT IV - 600 - 700
    Black House - 325 - 425
    From a Buick 8 - 450 - 550
    DT V - 600 - 675
    DT VI - 450 - 550
    DT VII - 450 - 550
TGWLTW Pop-Up (not sure about this one)
    'Salem's Lot - 2000 - 2200
SOD Volume 1 - Remarqued ++ (not sure about what the remarque does for SOD, without them 325 - 400, values a little higher if matching volumes)
    SOD Volume 2 - Remarqued ++
The Little Sisters Of Eluria 550 - 750
Under The Dome (with CD Traycase) 350 - 450
    Billy Blockade (not sure)
FDNS Remarqued Chadbourne (not sure what the remarque does for this one, without it 450 - 550)
    11/22/63 - (with CD Traycase)
    Wind Through The Keyhole 1000 - 1250
Joyland (with The Collector Slipcase) (not sure about this one)
The Dark Man (with Matching Portfolio) (not sure about this one)
Doctor Sleep (Triple Remarque) (not sure what the remarques do for value here, without them, 450 - 550)

Hey Jon, I gave your list a shot. Some I'm not sure about, which I've noted. The values I've thrown out there are based on what I've seen on eBay and Betts over the last 3 or so years. The Dark Tower books are always a little up and down depending on the day and whether the number is above or below 500. And the remarques I'm not sure about, sometimes they add value, but sometimes not. Anyway, hope this helps. I'm sure that people will jump in and disagree, so take it with a grain of salt
    Looking for:
    - Philtrum Press Eyes of the Dragon RED #165
    - Fine Viking Eyes of the Dragon proof

Thank you so much for spending the time to let know most of the values. That is very helpful. thank you.

Does a 1st Canadian edition (2nd printing) of The Running Man have any value? It looks identical to the US one (apart from the slight change in the CP). Found one at a bookstore today with no creases and in great condition for $2.

Not much beyond that $2 (and the good story within)...

Would like a rough estimate for insurance purposes. I've never insured anything in my collection before but I think it might be a wise idea at this point.

For insurance purposes, which is normally cost to replace, then I would say $7-8k. IF you can find someone willing to sell of course!
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
