Funny thing is - I used to always try to spring for flat signed. But seeing all the neat inscriptions members here get, I think I'm changing my tune.

    Great adds!
Thanks TJ! Yes, I'm an inscription guy. I'm finding my collecting goals are naturally turning more and more to interesting inscriptions and, where possible, association copies.

Didn't feel right almost falling of the the second page of these collection threads. I've been actively adding to my collection but have been very busy with work, etc, to post much. Here's one I got a few months back. The / 250 limitation, I love the marbled covers and got a custom slipcase for it.

Nice colour combination on the case. Congrats!
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King

Cheers, Alan, Yes, love that inscribed Rats. Took me w few months to track down some provenance. Was formerly owned by a member of NEL publishing house, who had an enormous range of collectibles, including other Straub, Herbert, and rare King items (one of which, I'm in some negotiations about).

Centipede Press does great stuff. And they have very friendly e-mail notices.
I'm sure if there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe, they are wise enough to stay away from us.

This year I've discovered Brian Evenson. Great, punchy writing style, horror/weird fiction with a streak of 1930's crime noir.

Father of Lies, US 1st Edition, flatsigned.

Altmann's Tongue, US 1st edition, inscribed.

The Brotherhood of Mutilation, S/L 300 chapbook

Another favourite contemporary horror / weird fiction author.

Signed / Limited (to 100) of Laird Barron's debut anthology, The Imago Sequence. Published by Night Shade Books, it's an item that rarely hits the market.
