    Where did July go!? And this year is also rushing by fast!

    I wanted to give you an update on the project. About half of the books have been completed. The bookbinder tells me he is working nights to get them done. Each book is being individually rebound by hand and it's not something that can be rushed. He's going to be traveling for part of August, so we're looking at about 4 weeks for the rest to be completed. We're running a little behind schedule but making good progress, and it will be worth the wait.

    Josh yes, been planning to update at the end of the month. The bookbinder has been away most of August as I'd mentioned so he has been unable to finish off the rest of the books this month, but he will be back Thursday this week. He tells me he's 75% done.

    I took longer to give him the green light because I went through two sample stages to refine the work which I hadn't considered up front, but I felt it was necessary. I wanted to make sure it looked good before he made them all. That whole process took time.

    We're getting there and I don't feel it will be much longer. Thanks for everyone's patience. It's a big project with each book being bound by hand. There's also the hand marbled endpapers that had to get done, the slipcases and of course the rebinding of the book.

    I've already started ordering in the packaging materials to ship the books so I'm prepared for when they arrive.

    As soon as I have another update I'll let you know.

    Didn't think I'd see the day....... well, I did... it was just a long time in coming...



    That is the shipping notice for the books!

    The bookbinder wasn't able to get all of the slipcases done in time for this shipment. There will be 7 short, which will follow at the end of the month. I'm hoping they will be done by the time the books are in and I have everything prepared for shipment to those who ordered. Then maybe I will just have him overnight the remaining slipcases so they can all ship out together. Let's play this one by ear. Will keep you all posted.

    At least the books are done and shipped. Yay!
