    Default Great Music - Round 1: 1950-1954 (Group 4 of 8)

During the first round of The Great Music Tournament, please vote for up to five tracks you would like to move onto the next round. The top five tracks will be moving on. Keep in mind that the percentage of the vote a given track receives will determine its standing going forward.

IMPORTANT! Please do not simply vote on name recognition (or lack thereof) alone. Please do listen to each nomination and then make your choice. Even if you think you know a track well, it's still worth giving it a listen for a refresher.

The poll will run for seven days. Discussion is greatly encouraged!

The nominees are (please let me know if any video doesn't play for you):

Marilyn Monroe - Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend (1953)

The Chordettes - Mr. Sandman (1954)

The Ames Brothers - The Naughty Lady of Shady Lane (1954)

Muddy Waters - Rollin' Stone (1950)

The Drifters - White Christmas (1954)

    Dean Martin - That's Amore (1953)

Patti Page - Changing Partners (1953)

I voted too fast and forgot to click on Dean Martin. It probably won't need my help though.

I'll count an extra vote for it once the poll closes, no problem.

"Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" and "Changing Partners" are also tied for fifth. Would love to break the tie before the poll closes in about 24 hours.

Marilyn Monroe was a goddess and very enjoyable to watch in her movies. However, Changing Partners is such a wonderful song, I hope it makes it through.
