    Default Great Music - Round 1: 1945-1949 (Group 5 of 8)

During the first round of The Great Music Tournament, please vote for up to five tracks you would like to move onto the next round. The top five tracks will be moving on. Keep in mind that the percentage of the vote a given track receives will determine its standing going forward.

IMPORTANT! Please do not simply vote on name recognition (or lack thereof) alone. Please do listen to each nomination and then make your choice. Even if you think you know a track well, it's still worth giving it a listen for a refresher.

The poll will run for seven days. Discussion is greatly encouraged!

The nominees are (please let me know if any video doesn't play for you):

Bing Crosby and The Andrews Sisters - Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive (1945)

The Pied Pipers - Dream (1945)

Nat King Cole - The Christmas Song (1946)

Earl Scruggs and Lester Flatt - Foggy Mountain Breakdown (1949)

    Charlie Parker - Ko-Ko (1945)

Thelonious Monk - 'Round Midnight (1947)

    James Baskett - Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah (1946)

This one was the toughest one for me so far. All great songs here!

All groups so far have been jam-packed and I went with all five options in each. So many great songs!

I'm really surprised to see "Dream" trailing so far. I thought it would be one the top ones.

Yes, but "Dream" being knocked out first thing is crazy. Did not see it coming, I was sure it would be going very far!
