    Default Great Music - Round 1: 1945-1949 (Group 3 of 8)

During the first round of The Great Music Tournament, please vote for up to five tracks you would like to move onto the next round. The top five tracks will be moving on. Keep in mind that the percentage of the vote a given track receives will determine its standing going forward.

IMPORTANT! Please do not simply vote on name recognition (or lack thereof) alone. Please do listen to each nomination and then make your choice. Even if you think you know a track well, it's still worth giving it a listen for a refresher.

The poll will run for seven days. Discussion is greatly encouraged!

The nominees are (please let me know if any video doesn't play for you):

Carmen Miranda and The Andrews Sisters - Cuanto la Gusta (1948)

Hank Williams - Move It On Over (1947)

Jack McVea and His All Stars - Open the Door, Richard (1946)

Charles Brown - Driftin' Blues (1945)

Gene Autry - Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1949)

Roy Brown - Good Rockin' Tonight (1947)

Jimmy Wakely - One Has My Name (The Other Has My Heart) (1948)

Wow, did not expect "Rudolph" to rock it like that...

Meanwhile, the great fun that is "Open the Door, Richard" is getting left behind

youtube doesn't show Jack McVea and Charles Brown to bears

Ask not what bears can do for you, but what you can do for bears. (razz)
When one is in agreement with bears one is always correct. (mae)

    bears are back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is another (lesser quality) version of "Open the Door, Richard" and here is "Driftin' Blues".
