Congrats on the signed books. The ryman opened in 1892 & has been kept pretty much original, wood bench seats. King spoke of waiting in Hank Williams dressing room before to show, how cool. King talked a lot about music, several stories about the remainders, jerry lee Lewis & one finisher about dinning out with Bruce Springsteen, some funny stuff. No mention of anything Dark Tower related book or movie. Hope everyone had a great time in Nashville .!

So who's going to the Iowa City event tomorrow? I'll be there thanks to a fellow DTer and would love to meet up! Looks like semi-decent odds of getting a signed book - 400 books/704 seats in the theatre. Fingers crossed!

This collecting stuff is a sickness! ~Patrick

If they don't wrap the books, make sure you follow becca69's recommendations on looking for a "flapped" book.

What is a 'flapped book' out of curiosity? My best guess is that the flap of the DJ is wrapped around first page or two to make the title page readily available? Is that correct, seems to make sense?

In Nashville, the books were given out one per person with a hand stamp as you were leaving. Didn't matter if you had two tickets.

I attended the Louisville event last night! It was held at the Iroquois Amphitheater, part of which is covered and part of which isn't, and my seats were in the open area. Right before King came out, an epic thunderstorm began and we got DRENCHED. But that didn't ruin things a bit. It was a wonderful talk and King seemed in an excellent mood.

To top it all off, I got a signed book!!!! With only 400 available out of nearly 2,400 books, I'd say I got pretty lucky!

Thanks guys! The bookstore staff were just handing books out very quickly to people on stage, so I did not get to pick mine off a table, making it luckier I got a signed copy. I forgot to mention above that my boyfriend who was with me got an unsigned copy. Also, for what it's worth, mine was a "flapped" book and his was not, supporting what some were saying in this thread earlier.
