Hearts are tough, she said, most times hearts don't break, and I'm sure that's right . . . but what about then? What about who we were then? What about hearts in Atlantis?

All that's left of what we were is what we have become.
This is a special time for heavy metal. While Soundgarden begins to fade, Creed is hitting it's stride only to "alter it's bridge" LOL. Avenged Sevenfold and Godsmack are rising... bands like Drowning Pool and Disturbed are embracing the hip hop/rap styles as Iron Maiden and others of our old favs are putting out the meat and potatoes of Metal. Other old Friends such as The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Linkin Park form a seamless roundabout among Metal, and Rap and Hip Hop. This roundabout, a mere 3 Doors Down, has a good, but Staind, grassy median, "Six Feet From the Edge" to keep us all enjoying a beautiful, revamped Green Day.
All that's left of what we were is what we have become.
Marilyn Manson - Disposable Teens (2001)
Deep Dive Corp. - Bali Hi (2000)
Shinedown - 45 (2003)
Funny story about this band. One day I was making a playlist on Youtube so I could listen to some music while I was working. I was just clicking through picking songs I liked and then checking out the recommended stuff that came up on the right-hand side. Before I started doing this I knew of Shinedown but if someone asked me, I wouldn't have listed them as one of my favorite bands. I knew nothing about them and have never owned any of their albums or anything. I would've probably listed 5 or 6 other bands as my favorites first.
So I'm going through and I keep finding more and more of their songs that I recognize and like. All said, I ended up adding about a dozen of their songs to my playlist. So by almost complete accident, I discovered a new "favorite" band.
