2016 Collecting Goals

My goals are still modest:

• A couple early US/UK 1st/1st mass-market paperbacks, especially the Signet Firestarter!
• Get some more Dan Simmons and other author's 1st/1st trade editions;
• Perhaps a King S/L (most likely one of the classics, or Six Stories).

Any help with reaching these goals would be much appreciated!

• A first edition of one of the Doubleday books. None at this point!
• And very specifically ... Sins of the Fathers double signed by King & Block
• And in the non-King world, a first edition of Godwulf Manuscript by Robert B. Parker. Only one of his I don't have a first of

I'm looking for a signed trade edition of Bazaar of Bad Dreams.

I'd like to get a signed trade of the new End of Watch in addition to the US proof and, if printed, the UK proof.

I'm also hoping to get any proofs I don't already have.

Well looking back at my goals I think I didn't do too bad this year. A few I would like to still pursue, but I think this year's goals will be a bit more subdued for me.

Goals I met:
One for the Road slipcased edition
More Gift Editions (PS, CD and Grant)
Picked up a couple new 1st, including a second state 'Salem's Lot (thanks James)
Got some remarques, both King related and otherwise; one from Don Maitz and one from Dave Palumbo which leads too...
A remarqued copy of 'Salem's Lot
Lettered edition of The Killer Inside Me by Jim Thompson, signed by King
Limited edition of Sub. Press The Shining
And thanks to my SS, I have a signed PB of Night Shift! (thanks Chase!)

What I missed:
AE Edition of 'Salem's Lot
Collecting the DT series
Getting an ARC/Proof
Signed trade HC

I overachieved this year. Just a few items from the "First" editions list not acquired, but bought so many limited editions that it more then makes up for it.

I have acquired more the 24 proofs - so I have managed to surpass my target thanks to some members and eBay.
I think I have only added two US 1st - Dolores Claiborne and Bag of Bones.
I now have the End Of Watch variants and relucantly continued with the PS editions.

I have added no S/Ls or Lettereds

As i reduced my collection in 2015 significant out of reasons -
there are not so many goals left for the moment.

I am quite happy with what i got in 2015, as this was the best of all years in my collection life,
so my true 2016 goal is to see more pictures of your fantastic collections (!)


But if there is something that would give me shivers to get in 2016, this would be

1. A new Knowing Darkness Artwork
2. One of the missing Dark Tower #PC Editions, especially the Gunslinger or Wolves of the Calla
3. The #101 Gunslinger
