Becca is far more into GOT then I am - but while off season you don't get Got and CoK sold for 800 - I tried ,)

I think the case here is the copy of Dance. Unless the person selling has unlimited rights to that number for all books from SP, the buyer should be able to buy the next books at retail.

AGOT & ACOK might be harder to sell alone.
Wanted: Human skin edition of The Book of the Dead. Will accept PC copy.

I agree - the rights is the main selling point - if you got that then it would push up the value of sp agot and acok - maybe in the 750/800 range. Otherwise individually those two would prob be only 150/200 above retail - so in the 500/600 range - in peak season. Unless someone's hoping sp makes 500 of the next book as well and grab one of those. I'm not exactly sure how the rights thing is determined on those extra printed books (fortunately I haven't had to pay attention to that).

    Thanks for asking.

Not yet; the CD stuff we get always lags a bit (or more than a bit) behind the publication dates. We'll have a copy, but couldn't tell you when... if you like I can set it aside in my brain, and drop a note when it comes, or see if I can turn up a copy on eBay at a good price.

So I have never read any David Mitchell books, although I do know of the popularity of Cloud Atlas. There is a 1500 copy signed/limited edition of his new book Slade House coming out around Halloween. I'm not sure if this is his first S/L, but it is already sold out at some places online. PS Publishing has 50 copies for 50 GBP. I took a chance and ordered one. Maybe I should start reading him now :-)

If you go to "special offers", you can get signed Bone Clocks, Slade House and another mystery book for 70 GBP.

Mitchell is doing a signing in Ann Arbor, MI (three hours away). I was looking for hardcovers of Bone Clocks to take with me but it seems the book stores must have just replaced them with paperbacks.

Yeah, I saw the combo deal. I wasn't sure if I wanted to start a Mitchell collection without at least reading one book. I thought the S/L was a good price so that will do it for me for now. Running out of room in my office for books. Have to be selective.

I have read all of David Mitchell's books and think he is a very talented writer. Can't wait for Slade House. He read from it a couple of weeks ago at an event in Liverpool. It sounds very good.
