I've been trying to flog these Expanse lettered editions for a great while and I've listed them with a reasonable starting bid. If you've been waiting in the wings and will be bidding, good luck.

I really cant believe how little these are worth. I personally was only holding back because it's exactly a numbered edition but leather book over cloth (I prefer cloth anyways) with a traycase. It's a bummer they didn't try something different.

In the months I've had them listed I've had somewhere in the realm of 15 inquiries from different people. An auction should give voice to the true value, low or high as it may be.

Yeah, a true lettered (26 not 52) matching set of six books for under $4,000 is really cheap to me. The Malazan books sold for well over $10,000 with six books and a seventh on preorder. Those are 52 lettered as well. Good luck to you as well as anyone looking to buy them!

The fact you've had no takers for this set mystifies me, Andrew. Good luck with the auction. Hopefully a bit of competitive bidding will push the price to where you want it.

Books for sale. Moving soon and don't feel like lugging them around. They've sat on the shelves for years and are just merely decorations at this point. Nothing "collection-worthy" but most/some/one or two should be in great condition. Prices should be cheap, but keep in mind the shipping from Vegas. Click on the little pics for big pics. First come, first served. Thanks!

Just curious, anyone know what a Lettered Nos4a2 goes for (Sub Press)? I see one is up for bidding, and I'm going to throw in a high bid but don't know what. Thanks!

    Ron,
Worst case, you can also order a slipcase directly from Grim Oak press through their website for many of their limited edition books, including Sword of Shannara.
    Thanks

Thanks, Tom, but- they're all sold out of "Sword" slipcases, unfortunately.

Are you referring to the numbered? The lettered was $1k at retail.

No, the Lettered. There are two eBay now for $600 and another one at $455 I believe that's still an active auction. I was offered one for $600 but couldn't follow through with the deal.

There are two NOS4A2 lettered editions, one from Subterranean Press and one from IDW. The active bidding one is from Subterranean at 455 will go up significantly before it's over, I am absolutely sure. The IDW editions have not been as valuable.

The only caveat to the currently listed SP edition is the damage. For reference, Camelot is selling a PC version of that lettered for $1750 and the only one up on Abe is priced at $2200. Doesn't mean either will sell for that price, but it's closer to the ballpark than $600 is IMO.

Gotcha on the two different publishers. JMO but it'd be pretty dumb to pay more than $600 (speaking of the auction) when one is listed at $600. I guess I'll clarify and say I wouldn't pay more then $600 in that situation or probably any other. To each his/her own.....
