The Naked Gun is hilarious, but I had to go with Airplane.

Airplane is a classic classic, but TSAM is a modern classic and a very underrated comedy.
Bahhhh, might need some time to think about this.

This is one of those films that I loved when I first saw it. Couldn't stop laughing, but then when I went to rewatch it a few years later, it just wasn't that funny to me. I guess cause I knew all the jokes? Idk, because there's plenty others that I can watch over and over and never get tired of.

I don't see how There's Something About Mary could possibly be underrated. Its made it far in this tournament, and it was one of the highest grossing comedies of the 90's.

Most people don't automatically think about it when thinking of classic comedies, I think. Recent classics, anyway.

Underrated in the sense that its not typically at the forefront of public consciousness when discussing comedy classics.
Not in the way that Airplane or Holy Grail might be, for instance.

I seriously just now realized how many movies Ben Stiller has been in that I either didn’t like or just haven’t had any interest in watching. Just off the top of my head:

    Tropic Thunder
    There’s Something About Mary
    Meet the Fockers
    Meet the Parents
    Zoolander
    Mystery Men
    The Heartbreak Kid
    Night at the Museum
    The Royal Tenenbaums
    Along Came Polly
    Starsky & Hutch

It’s really weird because I’ve never had any conscious thought of not liking him. I enjoyed his role in Dodgeball and I want to see The Watch (it’s recorded on my DVR). I also remember watching him in the Ben Stiller show in the 90’s.

But for some reason all of the movies listed above just didn’t click with me for one reason or another.

Went with There's Something About Mary. A classic, dark comedy that's as smart and clever as it is outrageously stupid. "What about...Brett--Faffferruh?"

I don't get the hype for Mary and cannot believe The Naked Gun is taking such a beating. I figured the two Leslie Nielsen movies would would split a lot of the votes.

To be honest, I don't really care for a lot of the movies you named, with the exception of Zoolander, There's Something About Mary, and Dodgeball.
I really hate the Meet the Parents movies.

TSAM was on TV last night, so I watched a little bit of it.

Still don't get the hype. Especially since it's going against two classic and hilarious comedies.

    Me looking at these results

As I listen to this in my head

I love There's Something About Mary because it's truly a dark comedy, but's made with such colourful, cheerful overtones, it does a good job of hiding how dark it is.
