One more question. . .how do I find AFAIK's collection? When I put "AFAIK" in the "advanced search" box on the home page, I get nothing. . .
Looking for the following lettered editions: Dark Forces, 999, Crown of Shadows (Hill)
AFAIK stands for "As far as I know". The collection Michaël was referring to is Bob's (carlosdetweiller) - You can see it here.
Ooops, yes, Paul is correct. I actually learned that from Jerome (English is not my native language anyway). It also took me some time to figure out 'BTAIM', one of Jerome's other favorites....
Here is one to work on...

Thanks! I'm in the know now! I could of guessed the second one!
Oh man - I feel like a total spaz. . .I thought your Internet acronym was a person. Ugh. Sorry!
Carlosdetweiller - yes, I remember him from the SKEMERs days. I'll check out his collection if I can figure out how!!!

Okay. I just saw Bob's collection. . . I still can't really breathe. I have been humbled, guys. I feel like I've been adding ones and twos all these years, and Bob's out there doing Calculus.

Don't worry, you're not alone. Bob's collection is what you might call a labor of love in my opinion. Not to say there aren't other collections out there that deserve praise, because there are, but you can't deny the fact that his collection is simply breathtaking. And there's a bunch of things you probably haven't even seen yet because he has posted numerous items over the years across a number of different threads. I don't remember if these were posted in his thread, but like this one for example.
NoahM, love your collection and your passion. I think you will be around for a long time! Do you have any artwork that goes along with your books? I AM HUGE into that as well. I love seeing what the artists do. Whelan is of course my fav followed by Ned D Anyways thought I would ask cause I did not see any pics!

Zelig - Okay, now that I've finished wiping all the drool off my keyboard. . .I'm starting think that Bob can't possibly be human. He's either some kind of superhero or a Book Demon out to torture us all. I mean, a 1st state Salem's Lot jacket? The asbestos Firestarter, okay, Comics Review?!? What the hell??!! I am a peon in comparison!! Sigh. . .
Webstar - Thank you for your compliment. . .clearly you haven't seen Bob's collection, but I appreciate the pat on the back! HA!! Anyway, sadly, no, I don't have any King-related artwork. I do have the framed original painting that came with the lettered edition of The Christmas Thingy (F. Paul Wilson), which I've hung up in my library, as well as the broadsheet "The Do-Gooder" by the same author, also hanging up in there. I do have 6 "Eddie" drawings inscribed to me by Derek Riggs (Iron Maiden), some of which are up in the library. BUT - as of now, my library is 95% shelves and almost no wall space. The plan is, in 2017, I'm going to knock out a wall and build a 2-story addition to the library - it will be a cathedral ceiling, with a widow's walk around the second-story shelves and a spiral staircase going up. Open space in the center for reading furniture. Once this happens, I'll have more room for artwork. . . .

WOW - great stuff, Webstar!! Really love those Gunslinger bookends! And the lettered state of IT, fantastic!!! That one was beyond my budget when the book was published. I do have the lettered Thinner pre-ordered though. Thanks for sharing!!!

Very cool! What are the bottom two mags on the left with black & white art?
I bet most of you guys know this answer, but I'm still new to SK collecting compared to most of you all here.
Theli - those are copies of Ubris, a UMO literary magazine in which King published a number of original short stories in 1968 - 69.
The first one in the photo is Spring 1968, with the first appearances of "Here There By Tygers" and "Cain Rose Up."
The second one is Fall 1969, with "The Dark Man" and "Stud City."
