How is The Winter People? I was debating putting it in my reading queue a few weeks ago, but I was iffy on whether or not I might like it.

Eh, it was ok, but I had one huge pet peeve with it that affected my enjoyment of the book. So in the beginning Ruthie returns home one night to find her mom missing. But instead of contacting the police she just decides to play house with her sister and then eventually track down her mom on her own. It just didn't make sense. Aside from that the rest of the story was interesting. It was told from the point of view of three different women, and jumped around between them, but every time it got to present day with Ruthie and her sister, everything they did from that first moment on didn't really make sense to me. I just kept thinking why don't you call the police I'd give it maybe a 2.5/5

Yeah, it wasn't horrible, and it had its good points but I did feel a little let down by it.
