"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King

Any thing we need to do to keep this moving? Are you feeling better? and did you decide what to buy with your hospital money?

Letting everyone know I just paid for 10 slipcases from Jeff Whiley in the UK. I'll post pics after I get them. Thanks Zelig and Stroppygoblin!!!

Received 4 of the 10 slipcases today. Books are 1st/1sts in VF/VF basically as new condition. I just got the SK and that was it on them. In a bookcase, the binding will only be seen anyway.

You must give him the exact dimensions of the book. He calculates the rest. I had to realize to give him the exact measures. I also have one or two that are a little bit to big because i added some millimeters...
@roseannebarr. I was told to give exact measurements. I gave him the standard American measurements and he converted it to millimeters. I'd suggest getting a real millimeter ruler for more accurate measurements. It may have been my fault, but Different Seasons is like 1/4" bigger, but it fits perfectly for my Four Past Midnight. Not ideal but I'm fine with it, though that book isn't worth what Different Seasons is. As for Salem's Lot, same thing. A bit wider at the binding like 1/8". I'm not complaining at all. Measuring with a tape measure seems not ideal? 8 of the slipcases are perfect, 9 if you count handing the one over to a different book. Jeff doesn't have standard measurements. Well he does, but he wants YOUR measurements based on different Mylar wraps, etc. Like I said, I'm not complaining at all. Next time, I will buy a millimeter ruler for more accurate numbers. Unless of course Zelig and Stroppygoblin start mass producing King slipcases for all his books with all the designs I have seen on this site. I'd honestly buy those too, and then see what I can do with the ones I have for other books, or sell them if it ever came to that. Decisions! But I am extremely happy with the outcome and grateful a guy out there can do this. Maybe we need another guy in the US that can do this as well. A Jessie clone of Walter White .

When you're measuring a book for a slipcase, this might help. It's an image that was supplied by Jeff. It's important to measure using another flat surface at the spine of the book, like another slipcase. I made this mistake the first time around and the slipcases were not wide enough. You have to account for the curve of the spine.
I did not do that Zelig. Thanks for the info for next time. Eventually, there will be a next time
