I thought the question of "is she their mother or not?" would have a bigger payoff. I think it would've been better if they didn't have the twist that the other brother was dead the whole time.

I say it every year, but man did it go by fast. I watched 85 films this year, down from 104 last year. I've gone down every year since my high mark of 166 films in 2010. There are a few main reasons for my number of 85. First, I don't include rewatches and I did rewatch a lot of films this year. I went back to prepare myself for some of the sequels coming out and rewatched whole franchises like Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and Terminator.

Also, my cousin is at the age now where he can appreciate a lot of the movies I love, so I showed him a bunch of those including the Ninja Turtles film, E.T., etc. I'm also watching a ton of TV and one thing I'm going to have to seriously start thinking about doing is cutting some stuff. The main reason my numbers are down is the fact that I got a new job, which has eaten into my free time considerably. Plus, I'm still working part-time at my old job.

Anyway, 85 is nothing to sneeze at and I thought it was a pretty strong year for film. I'm looking forward to building my new list for 2016. See you in the other thread.

I must say I am blown away by WeDealInLead who averaged more than a movie per day all year long with a total of 377!

I was trying to get to 100 but just couldn't make it. I will do at least 100 next year.

I should probably explain. I work mostly afternoons. I take my daughter to school, drop my wife off at work and then go for a run. Once that's done, I'll run some errands, clean the house a bit and then put a movie on. I also get to watch at least one movie at work once my clients go to bed. What I'm trying to say is that I'm not a jobless hobo though it certainly might seem that way.

Did you not watch Kill Bill Vol. 2? I just noticed that in your list. Also, how was It's Alive (the one with the baby, right? I've had it in my queue for awhile)? And did you like Krampus?

It was pretty creepy. Not exactly what I thought it would be but disturbing, none the less.

Yeah, it was a little different than I thought it'd be too.

I thought the question of "is she their mother or not?" would have a bigger payoff. I think it would've been better if they didn't have the twist that the other brother was dead the whole time.

Finally some people have seen this movie. I posted about it elsewhere, but I really enjoyed it. It was completely different than what I expected going in. I thought it would be much more horror oriented and

more about the mom and is she really their real mom. I picked up on the twist early on. I watched it with Matt and he pointed out to me "why is it that they only mention one of the boys names and we don't know the other". Well that got me thinking, so I was watching the boys very closely from then on, and it solidified my feeling about one of them being dead when the mom took one to his room and demanded that he never mention his brother again, then she rushes out the door and doesn't even notice the brother standing right there.

I would have enjoyed it had it been a straight up creepy scary horror film, but I liked this film much better. It's funny though, because I had to explain the ending to Matt once the film finished. He had no clue what happened and thought the mom wasn't really the real mom? Once I explained it he enjoyed it so much more. Well then I let his brother and nephew borrow the film and both of them thought the same thing, that the mom was just crazy or something, and they too didn't pick up on the fact that the brother was dead, so they both hated the film. I still don't know why none of them understood the film because they say exactly what is going on

No I haven't watched it yet. For some crazy reason Matt doesn't really care for Kill Bill. The premise intrigued me, but the trailer makes it look kind of lame which it why it keeps getting pushed further down my to-watch list.

And as for Krampus, I absolutely loved it. It was pretty funny. I'll definitely be buying it so I can watch it next Christmas. What did you think of it?

I liked it a lot and think I'll be buying it too! I thought it was a good balance of humor and horror, and kept getting crazier and crazier every time I thought it'd be over. I was pleasantly surprised that they didn't go with an ending where

Have you seen the sculptures they're selling? They have one of Krampus, an elf, and the creepy angel. They look really cool but they're over $200 each.

Between the mom's mentioning of an "accident", only making food for one of the kids, and some of the other clues, it clicked. Also, there was a moment in the film where one of the twins said the name "Leo" and I was thinking, "Hmm...maybe a twist is that they were triplets, but the other one died?" Then they never mentioned the name again and I thought it might've just been a mistake with the subtitles. It was only when I went on IMDB that I found out that Leo was the name of the cat.

One thing that bothered me, though, was how little protesting the mother did about how she WAS their mother. If it was me, I think I would've done a little more to convince my child, whether it was bringing up old memories, etc. in order to give him the "proof" he needed.
