Where did you hear that Flagg is supposed to be dead? Divemaster had said King indicated the story would be about Stu, Frannie, and Kojak.

Perhaps in one world, but not in all of them.
Right. What happened to Flagg in DT VII does not necessarily match up with the Stand of our world timeline.
I would love to read more about Stu, Frannie, and Kojak. I'm sure King will come up with good adventure, horror, sympathy, etc. And a good antagonist (Flagg or other) and supporting characters. I have faith in King's ability to keep these characters and this story interesting and engaging. Of course, there's no guarantee King will ever get around to putting the story to paper. But it's good to know it's in his head at least.

He is Legion. He "died" in the stand and arose again. No reason to think that his death in TDT VII was not a temporary set back as well.
