The article said they would use a convict's skin to bind books containing their crimes and convictions and in Victorian times they used the deceased's skin to make memorial books. I guess it was more prevalent in days of yore

BY THE WAY VERY LITTLE CORRESPONDENCE JUST EVERY WEEK WOULD HIT BOOK STORES & NEWS STANDS & ONCE IN A WHILE A BOOK FAIR. LIKE I STATED ONCE BEFORE THE WIFE & I SPENT THE NIGHT STANDING IN FRONT OF A BOOK STORE TO BUY THE S/L THE STAND.
