A couple of new additions today. I did a trade with Simon (Stroppygoblin) for these in person. Had a meal at a pub and then back to my place to show him my humble collection. What a great guy, it was awesome to talk to a like minded collector in person. I haven't shown my collection to a SK collector before.

A couple of new proofs today. A big thank you to Paul for forwarding these two US only auctions on to me. This brings my total of proofs to 23 US and 12 UK but I have 10 more (+ 1 upgrade) on the way.

Okay makes sense. That's how my collection started out with the easier to find ones. Got to have them anyway. I have some rarer ones coming over the next month or so. I think I will post when they're all in.

There's just so many of them to get, so you've got start somewhere! The ones on the way are Gerald's Game ABA, Blaze US, Just After Sunset US, 'Salem's Lot Illustrated US, Dreamcatcher UK + US, Pet Semetary US 2nd State, Desperation US 1st + 2nd States, Song Of Susannah UK and lastly Black House UK Partial Proof.

Yeah, there are a lot for sure. If you take John's list as a guide there's about 220 proofs (US and UK). Although it's highly unlikely we will ever have a 'complete' collection, we can get as close as possible.

I too used to be a proof completist but truth be told, I'm glad I decided to limit myself to 'regular' US and UK proofs from The Dead Zone up to and including Insomnia. Makes it easier to focus and I would only get frustrated trying to get all of the Scribner proofs or all six US Green Mile proofs, for example.

But I really like seeing your collections grow, you're both on a roll!

Thanks Michael. I can see myself going for only going for the more common proofs or moderately rare ones, some are out of my price range or so rare I will never see them for sale. I have been lucky to get a few rare ones like the BOB and TGWLTG Manuscript proofs and The Plant Pt 2 and NLR plain proof. The Plant and NLR I remember I got very cheap at just over £100 each many years ago, they would be much more now.
