How do you guys have the willpower to wait to go see It? For the first time ever I bought tickets for the first showing thursday night. I am beyond excited for this film. I can't even imagine having to wait one extra day to see it if I had the option to previously go.
Only the gentle are ever really strong.
Waiting can sometimes make the experience (Not for The Dark Tower Movie) even more sweet. I'd rather go Friday at 10am, than Thursday at 7PM, or 10PM.
Of course if I was lucky enough to attend a pre-screening (full house, but rarely someone that disrupts the experience) I would have jumped at it.
T-MINUS 9.5 hours till I see IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It will be so nice to finally see a King movie adaptation become a true monster hit. Surprised it took this long.
Just got back from seeing it. I'll have to process my thoughts, but I thought it was brilliantly done, both as an adaptation and as a straight-up horror movie.

I'm really bad at number scores, favorites and x stars out of 5 or ten. Ten would be perfection, and I don't think this was perfect (some of the performances and characterizations were better than others), but it was definitely a high 9. The standouts to me were Finn Wolfhard as Richie and Sophia Lillis as Bev. Richie got some great, great lines, many of them original to the film, and Finn delivered them brilliantly

That begin said, one of the funniest lines in the movie (to me) was when Eddie confronts his mother about his pills and yellsSpoiler:

For me, it's the movie that FINALLY left behind Pet Sematary as the most scary SK movie. And I place the film among my three favorites ever regarding King.
Now it has been MADNESS for me this last month and September will be even more huge. I saw the film on August 10th and before it hits theaters here (September 21st, later than in other countries so the Muschietti brothers can make it to Argentina (both are from here)) I'll watch it two more times. One in a special VIP avant premiere On Sept. 19th, presented by Andrés and Bárbara Muschietti for which I also had to organize contests and I'm giving away nearly 60 tickets, one for the press screening (Sept 18th) and one at the Imax Theater. I'll also attend the press conference, the interview junket (I'll interview both) and also the best of all events: I was also invited to a very special dinner with the Muschietti, friends and family. FUCKING AWESOME!
And a week later, when everything is calm down, I'll have a lot of official merchandise
