One can easily imagine being Joe Hill thumbing through this Prospectus and examining the Prototype and exclaiming, "Now, this is what I'm talking about!" Congratulations, Alec, on acquiring such a remarkably unique and high quality piece.
Thank you to Simon for posting this and enlightening me on the backstory of the initial idea. Parts that I did not know.
Obviously from what Paul has shown, the final production of the book is probably twice as thick as this prototype. The paper stock being a lot heavier.
Thank you as always for the feedback from everyone. Much appreciated.
Congrats, Alec!

Fabulous!
I'm sure if there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe, they are wise enough to stay away from us.
And the people bowed and prayed, to the cell phone god they made...
Thanks to Brian, Jeremy and Steve.
I do have the variant.................!!
I just read a little closer and realized that this is one of four. Wow. That's really cool Alec. Congrats again.
Amazing stuff, Alec. I say that a lot on your thread
Congratulations.
Thank you Alan, very kind.

Has my attorney got in touch with you yet? If not, be on the lookout for an official letter, I've decided to add myself to your will.
Sincerely (of sound body and mind),

Good afternoon to both of you, Chase and Ralph.
Having had the good fortune to deal at some stage with both of you, I am well aware that you are equally of sound body and mind. The problem standing in our way is the only relatives I have outside the UK are near Rockhampton in Australia. Perhaps you could move forward using this piece of information.
Kindest regards
Alec.

A new edition to Alec's collection, warmly inscribed and such an early 'Steve' signature. Also excellent condition for a book that is 40 years old!
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
Ahhh, excellent. Glad this came into the DT fold - I watched this for a long time on eBay. Alec, may I ask, are your new King acquisitions going to be also folded into your VFB collection for sale, or part of a separate collection?
