You mean your first attempt with IT.

    Nice detail.

It was a lot of fun browsing your collection, Simon! There are over 1600 posts in this thread so Iíve barely made a dent, but your first few posts are inspiring. On the Facebook groups, Iíve seen just how far your collection has come since your original posts in this thread 4-5 years ago. That gives a newbie like me a lot of hope and excitement. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Adam! appreciate it. My collection has come a long way since this thread started. It's also a reflection of the many friends I have made over that time, glad to have you join them.

And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King

    new additions!

S/L of UK Rose Madder #

    And a surprise delivery! SST's limited Gwendy's:

Why the surprise? Well I was expecting this to come from CD, but it appears I have ordered it twice I completely forgot I had already ordered from SST back in January, so when the CD one arrives I will have two! PM me if you are looking for a copy.

Darn! Every time I see one of those Hodder limiteds, it makes me want to fill in the holes where the ones I don't have aren't. Like the ROSE MADDER. I love it.

One strange thing. I ordered the GWENDY'S direct from SST, and it was delivered from CD. Must be something to do with US/UK distribution.

Congratulations, Simon! Both pickups are great and I think SST did a bang up job on the Gwendy's BB. Keep up the good work!

Thanks, yes itís pretty much perfect. I missed out on the one Betts just sold, but as that would have had to have been shipped from the US, getting this one from the UK made the final price about the same.

Iím only missing the Insomnia H&S signed limited now I think.

I hope you can find the Insomnia S/L! From my (admittedly limited) searching, it appears hard to find one with an undamaged slipcase.

just a little addition, but one of those annoying little gaps has been filled. I found a 3rd print Thinner which somehow had still got the paper belly band. The book was nothing to write home about but it's nice to be able to add the belly band to my very fine 1st edition
