Hey Bruce, do you happen to know if the Title of the book was permanently changed from Bid Time Return to Somewhere In Time, because of the movie was popular or if Matheson preferred the new title?
Ken

Bruce, I know you have hundreds, if not thousands, of personalized inscriptions. Where you personal friends with Mr. Matheson? If so, I would love to hear any stories that might be interesting. I'm late to the game in collecting his stuff, but still love it.

reality continues to ruin my life
I've been obtaining a whole bunch of new Matheson books and will start to catalog and photograph them. I got this is mail today. Stephen King books are fairly easy to obtain information regarding first editions and identifying them, but other authors are a little more difficult.
Richard Matheson's final work, unless some lost works are found later on. Actually, I believe that he left several partial novels unfinished in his papers.
A couple new Richard Matheson lettered editions. Passion Play produced by CD. It included the hot foil stamp used on the spine.
Camp Pleasant by Richard Matheson. Lettered Edition by CD. Yes, that is dust. The traycase was less than stellar. Unfortunately CD doesn't have any spares. I will try to clean it up as best I can.
Nice collections! Matheson is an author that I've been curious about but haven't had a chance to read yet. I did love both "I Am Legend" and "Somewhere In Time" (although I never realized he wrote that), so I'm definitely keeping my eyes open for some of his work to check out.
Matheson is one of those authors that can write in any genre. Somewhere in Time is a love story, and a good one. Be sure to check out his westerns, they are good also.
