So a friend and fellow DT junkie and i have been having a debate about what Nozz-o-la Cola tastes like. She insists that somewhere in text a SK character mentions that it tastes like root beer. I insist that it is a "cola" and therefore must by definition taste like Coca cola, Pepsi or RC. I have searched the internet and i have come across some readers who say that Nozzie tastes like Dr Pepper. Is there any mention in text of what it tastes like by a Stephen King character, or by characters by any related authors? I don't remember reading any description of it's flavor. I know that it has been mentioned in the show Lost, but extraneous information is non-cannon and therefore doesn't count, but i'd like to hear all sides in order to settle the debate. I say thankya.

Ted Brautigan drinks root beer cause he can't get Nozz-A-La in the world where Hearts in Atlantis takes place, but I believe he says that Dr. Pepper might be closer to the taste. So in short, there's no settling the debate on basis of textual evidence: That's about as clear as it has been made.
