It was a good question. I assumed Taheen would have heads that were larger than normal if the animal was smaller than a human, smaller than normal if larger than a human. Basically, I assumed the heads would be proportional to the size of the human body upon which it sat. For instance, we heard from Ted Brautigan about a taheen with a bull's head. Now if that were the size of a regular bull's head it, the taheen would be top-heavy and topple over. On the contrary, a taheen with an itty bitty mousehead would look, well, riddiculous might sound silly since all taheen look kinda silly, but you know what I mean.
That's an interesting perspective--one I have not thought of before.

Careful what you wish for. If I remember correctly, we did encounter taheen with human heads, when Eddie, Roland and Cullum gazed upon the "walk-ins" in DT-7. Of course, that taheen with the human head had the body of an insect. Enjoy that Fruno.
