I'm almost certainly going to sell my complete and unbroken lettered set of the Meisha Merlin / Subterranean Press editions of A Song of Ice and Fire in the very near future. If thats something some of you guys would be interested in I can post when I put it on eBay. Or if you have any suggestions for better places to sell it let me know.
The tracking "lost" mine 8 days ago, that is mostly a good sign of being customs-locked as yours is.
do not know how it is in the NL, but in Austria they sam to toss dice to choose if they charge customs or not, its always a lottery.
I always have to pay extra - never a lottery.

He's got it listed there, I suggested he come here too. There are some big pockets here
There is also a lettered already on consignment at Camelot Books. I don't think that would help... it's been there a while.Strike that, it looks like it's gone. Not sure if it sold or the customer took it down.
Wanted: Human skin edition of The Book of the Dead. Will accept PC copy.
I'm still looking for ADOD with rights. Can't afford the whole set. It's just too much
Still there...

You guys might do better after season 4 ends or even over the summer. Keep an eye on the wanted/for sale list over at Westeros too.

Lol just a cool 20 grand.... Honestly do they really expect it to sell at that price... C'mon
That's not my set over at Camelot.
That said, the only other lettered set to sell that I am aware of went for $15,000 a couple years ago which was before two more books were in the set.
Exactly.
Weren't there two lettered sets sold that year for $15,000+?
ADWD and ACOK have both come out since, so $20,000 is not at all unrealistic.

Recently there was a set (a member of Westeros) listed at Camelot for $20,000 but it's not on the site any longer. I don't know if that one sold or not. I know it included ADWD but not sure about ACOK.

What's that link for westeros with the for sale books becca
Becca - if you want you can put my 499 on westeros. It's for sale - 900 OBO. also if anyone is looking for it they can contact me.
That was my thinking. (That's my set at Camelot.) I was looking for the 15k and thought it was realistic seeing what the very few others have gone for (one for <15k on ebay and one for 15k in a private sale). Camelot takes 20% when consigning books and I didn't want to take that big of a hit so 20k seemed like a reasonable place to start; you can always go for less!
Since I've listed, the two new ones added to it and I also included all of the original art from the books that I've aquired over the years to try and help out too.
Good luck with the sale but I don't think it's going to be an easy one. 20k in this economic climate is a very risky decision for even the most die hard collector/person with extremely deep pockets. The shows popularity is certainly spurring the value upward, but just like walking dead there will be a crash sometime.
IDK - the show definitely made the series more popular to a wider audience but the books have always been highly desired and collectible in their own right. GRRM has been called the "Modern Tolkien". I think this series will hold it's value over time. The limiteds/lettereds may fluctuate like the DT limiteds but they will always be collectible.
