No. I only have 1 copy. I was joking when I said I ordered 19. I did try to order several, but their system kicked out the extra orders.
There was a report on another forum made by a thug named Lloyd (I cannot disclose the forum due to safety concerns). He reported his boss had 19 copies stored in a casino safety deposit box in Los Vegas. It has been reported that Lloyd was last seen driving off unto the desert with this unknown guy known only as Trash Can. I have tried to follow-up on this and it seems all related posts have been removed and Lloyd has seemed to vanish. I guess the mystery of the missing books #19 -#34 continues.
I'm REALLY confused on how a thread about a S/L edition that isn't really nice and doesn't have an intensive production has four pages and even a list on who owns it and who doesn't. I don't remember any other S/L edition despite the complete Dark Tower set to have a thread like this one with the list and, almost two months after its release, still being discussed.
Just that. It surprises me a lot! LOL

Don't be confused. I think it is a brilliant idea, and a great bit of enjoyment for the collective group to "track down" the numbers. I wish someone (other than the DT S/L's), had thought of it earlier, and that we had numerous group hunts.
Of course the book is not anything special, and the thread will likely become stale as the books change hands and keeping track of them becomes less important to the members here. I think of this as a bit like a scavenger hunt. Most of the SH's I have read about seem pointless and a waste of time, but others sure enjoy them, and I am enjoying this one.
That's perfect, of course. It's just odd for me

I'd like that (even though I would be conspicuously absent from all such threads since I don't own any numbered or lettered King books at present).
I see three options:
1) We start creating threads for any collectible King book we're interested in in the regular Calvin's Corner forum (like the current UK WTTKH 1/200 thread).
2) Jerome creates a sub-forum for dedicated 'tally threads' for each collectible King book. Volunteers start a thread for the book(s) of their choice and take care of updating the first post containing the tally.
3) Tallies are posted in the existing discussion threads in the King Collectibles catalog.
I'd vote for option 2.
I agree. To me, it's the newness of the release coupled with the excitement of the hunt. Plus, the fact that it was only a #200 issuance makes it doable on a relatively small scale. I think I'd get tired pretty quick trying to follow or "find" 800 books.
I don't have any real desire to go backward and track down all the older S/L's, but for upcoming releases? Why not?
I have a feeling that I have either #62 or #65.
I am not inclined to create a sub-forum and then start to populate it. I think that going forward, if it happens organically, then it will. I thoroughly agree that doing 800 would be too much-but that is for the thread creator to decide.
Looking forward, I could easily see someone wanting to track lettered editions, but that may prove elusive as some collectors won't (as is their prerogative) reveal their letter/number.
The next two possibilities are Masques, and Battleground.
We have a thread for people who are looking for a specific number of generally all SK numbered books.
To me, the reason this thread is popular is because it relates specifically to a Dark Tower book. This is like a cousin to the thread for the DMG matiching number DT sets. While matching this book to your DMG set (complete or in progress) isn't required, it is fun to do when you can.
Other "cousins" might be lists of Who Owns what number of other non-DMG Dark Tower signed/numbered books...
- DT IV S/L UK W&G
- DT 1 S/L audiobook
- DT 2 S/L audiobook
Bastard cousins could include lists for numbered facsimile signature editions (Personally I have far less interest in those).
Just for the record, I was thinking along the lines of members posting the number/letter they have, not so much to hunt for owners/sellers outside the forum (which would be way too much work). But I realize that there's a different motivation underlying this thread, so please ignore my previous post
Regarding the facsimile numbers, I would love to find out who has #263 of 11.22.63, because I have #112, and I think they would make a neat set.
Hey Guys.. kinda slow week on the finding numbers, but been hell at the job. Anyone out there would like to help track down some leads? If you like to search and hunt, this would be perfect for you. I have several leads, but have not had the time check out... It is not that hard, and the pay is not very good at all, but when you find a new number... WOW. If you interested PM me.
Any luck in making trades? I need to remove the information at some point... thanks
