A NEW GAME BEGINS
What did you think of The Raven? I'm not usually into those types of movies (looks very creepy, based on the trailers) but I'm such a fan of Edgar Allan Poe and his works that I can't help but be intrigued.
It was pretty good. My English class went today after our final (English department paid!) since we had read some Poe in the class. I was suprised that I liked Cusack as Poe, but all the other characters were totally one-dimensional. The pacing was slow, the editing wasn't too great, and the ending...well, you need to see it to know why it's ridiculous.
I was entertained overall and thought it was pretty cool to see the depiction of Poe's stories on the big screen, but it's not a film I'll be buying on DVD or would recommend.

Okay, thanks. Maybe I'll wait for it on Netflix, then...
That might be your best bet. It's definitely a fun, entertaining movie, but I don't know if I'd rush out to the theater for it.

Yes, that's the one. It was ok but not at all scary. I liked the subject matter and it was entertaining enough, just not great.
